Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of strong but vulnerable characters. When she was a child, spending summers in the home of her father her interest grew for the stage. Following her studies at Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. She began her Broadway career shortly after graduating in the year 2000, before making her TV debut in the next year. Since then, she's appeared in numerous films, television productions and stage plays. She has been nominated for three Academy Awards, five Tony Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her time on the stage. While she has received numerous awards throughout her career, theatre was always her primary interest.
