Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd went on an impressive 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent right in the first round. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia gave Aspen an unanimity loss and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on an appearance at the. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion with a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, in a fight against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound tactics which resulted in a TKO second round victory. Her dominance continued and she scored a more impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd was able to defeat Evinger in the very first round and received a bonus for her performance on the evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. Ladd's win was a majority decision, and the Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak in just 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, lost to Randamie. In her place she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight was lost by majority decision.
