Amy Lou Adams is an American actor whom has received praise for her portrayal of sweet and innocent characters. Adams was the youngest of seven siblings that grew up as a child in Castle Rock, Colorado. Her birth was during the time that her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. The actress began acting and dancing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then The Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota where she was a part of an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) which focused on beauty contests. When she made her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant she moved into Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She also raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the the late 1940s when she was hired by MGM. She had been noticed by Norma shearer. She appeared in several popular films in the next decade, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
